One of the main screens in the POS Terminal application is the list of active orders. Active orders are those orders which are not yet closed. Normally, orders will be closed once fulfilled by both parties – that is, items received and payment complete.

The active orders list is specific to that establishment, café, restaurant etcetera. If there are several POS terminals active in that one store, all orders currently active in that store will display across all of the terminals. This seamless feature helps to parallel process orders across different members of staff on different devices. All orders can be serviced and completed from any device. This flexibility saves time and increases the efficiency of your order fulfillment.
All new orders are displayed immediately, whether ordered via the POS Terminal applications connected to this store or the mobile app. If the order has not yet been paid for, the cashier can modify, cancel or confirm it.

Then, begin processing the order and once it’s been fulfilled mark it as ‘done’.
Once the order has been completed and paid for, mark it as closed.

Let’s review a few cases as standard examples:
The customer has come to the till and listing off what he wants. I am adding the items to his order, and if a certain item has options listed, I’ll ask additional questions according to the options presented and tap those in.
Once the order has been created I’ll open this checkout screen and select the customer’s preferred payment method. Let’s choose payment via cash.
I enter amount, and click Pay.
After that I can choose the next action. If the order is still in progress and it will take some time to prepare, I don’t yet close the order. With the next customer waiting to be served, I’ll press new order.

If I leave the order marked as ‘New’ on this terminal, my colleagues on separate devices across the store will see that order was paid but not yet processed. If I click ‘start’, that normally means I or someone else already started processing this order.

So the next customer begins ordering – I immediately add the order details and open the checkout screen.
This client asks to pay via the store’s mobile app.
I just click add client, identify him using last four digits of his phone number and find him in our customer list.
If several clients were found with the same four digits, I can just identify with his name or full phone number.
After that, I tap the ‘Mobile’ option in payment methods. The request for payment will reach the customer’s mobile app almost instantly. Then, all the customer has to do is confirm payment using his saved details and we can wait for final confirmation. If I’m in a hurry, I can tap OK and begin serving the next customer.

On a terminal across the store, another cashier created a new order. This order came through the mobile app, and hasn’t yet been paid.
Once the order is confirmed you can immediately begin processing it.
And look, a new order just arrived already paid! You can start processing it straight away. In the comments section, our newest customer let us know he’ll be ready in around 30 minutes, so we’ll hop straight to it.

Now, both of those customers have come into the store to collect.
For the unpaid order, we can offer any of the payment methods as usual – cash, card or mobile.
The customer can also open this order from within the mobile app without cashier action, and just hit pay.
For the customer that’s already paid, we fulfil the order and just hit ‘close’.

For orders with more than one item that we’ll be serving one-by-one, we can use this ‘assemble’ button.
In a separate window, we can open up the order details as list of items with checkboxes in order to work through them one by one as each item is served.

Uniquely, thanks to our cloud-based system, this process of order assembly can be distributed and processed between different terminals and different employees. For example, if the first till serves up the customer’s coffee and the second till serves up the customer’s cake. Order assembly progress will be updated immediately on all terminals. This way, you can guarantee smooth and seamless order process and delivery.
