This submodule has two main functions.

First we’ll look at how to execute an Inventory Audit.
The Inventory Audit is a manual check of all inventory levels.
To do this, we’ll click the ‘Audit’ button.

First, we select the audit location.
Now we can see list of items and their quantities. We’ll check all of our listed items, and confirm line-by-line.
If we find a discrepancy in the quantities, then we can correct this manually.

To do this, click on the red button and enter the correct amount. You can also add comments, including reasons for the discrepancy. All audits will be recorded in the audit history – details will include member of staff, date, and time of audit.

After checking and confirming all items, click the green button to complete the audit.
A full record of the audit will be saved and stored indefinitely.

Another function within this submodule is Adjustment.
This is where we can address any discrepancies found during the inventory audit, or just change inventory quantities as and when is necessary – for example spoilage or slight issues with recipe quantities.

Let’s click on Adjust and select the location.
We’ll see the same form as in an audit, but it won’t be necessary to check every line before saving. Find the item, enter the right amount, add any comments and hit save.
Adjustment records will also save and store in the system indefinitely.

In summary, both audits and adjustments will make keeping track of your inventory efficient and robust, with full records kept on any and all changes.
