For payment, there’s three options: Cash, Card and payment via mobile application.

To begin mobile payment, find the customer using the last four digits of their phone number and verify with their name. Once you’ve identified them, tap the ‘mobile’ button.
On the customer’s mobile app, a payment confirmation window will pop up. The customer can review the receipt, then confirm the payment.

The POS Terminal application will also show a ‘payment pending’ window. This disappears once the customer confirms the payment.
Do note that the cashier can hit the ‘okay’ button to close the ‘payment pending’ window, and carry on serving the next customer. For confirmation of that previous payment, just look for the green status indicator in the active orders list. When you open up the order later, it will show the status as ‘paid’.
A great use for this is when the customer is waiting for their receipt via a mobile app request.

As mentioned in an earlier video, customers paying via their mobile app can use loyalty points and discounts towards the bill when going through the payment confirmation screen.

As an additional feature, we can also use the Back Office portal to enable gratuity payments via the mobile app, and also define automatic percentage options.
To do this, let’s go to Back Office, then Settings, and tap Stores.
Open the store details and make sure that “Are mobile tips enabled?” is ON.
Then go to system settings and enter the three desired percentage options. Of course tips are a great way to boost revenue and an added incentive for your staff to deliver better service, but most importantly this feature will make giving tips quick and easy for the customer. We’ve found they’re more inclined to leave a tip when the option is presented to them within the payment process.
If you turn the tip function on, they will always present when customers pay via the mobile app.
